Error: 'Detect Citrix Workspace App' and 'Download' if app is not detected

Written by Charnjit Singh Dharival

When trying to launch Orchestrate through Access Evo, Citrix is not loading. It is downloading a .ica file which Windows asks to choose an application to open it with:

Welcome to the Citrix Workspace App

Use Citrix Workspace App to access your applications and desktops

Detect Citrix Workspace App

Please complete the following steps:

  1. Press F12 in the web browser so it brings up dev tools, then right click on Refresh, Select Empty Cache and Hard Reload

  2. Restart the web browser, log into Evo and click the orchestrate app

  3. Click button to detect application app, accept terms and notification and download button

  4. When ICA file downloaded, right-click to always start and restart web browser

Note: if the issue continues to occur, after step 1, you may have to clear all web cookies and cache for all time.

Also, check the users PC to see if Citrix is installed, if it is not you will need to ask them to download the Citrix Workspace App which can be downloaded from here .

If Citrix is downloaded you will need to make sure that the browser can open the file once it has been downloaded. This is likely an Edge only issue. You can check this doing the following:

  1. Open Microsoft Edge

  2. Navigate to the downloads folder from the web browser

  3. Right click the Citrix file downloaded and click Always open files of this type
