How to View Task History in Orchestrate

Task History in Orchestrate

Viewing history for a single task

Orchestrate keeps a history for each task, so you can see how a task has changed over time. To review it:

  1. Open the plan and select the task you're interested in.

  2. Open the Task History view for that task.

  3. You'll see a grid of history entries. Any values that changed from one entry to the next are highlighted so changes are easy to spot. Each entry shows who made the update (Updated By), when it happened (Date), and a Comment field you can fill in.

  4. Use the Next / Previous buttons to page through older entries (20 per page by default).

Can I view all task history at once?

No. Task history is always shown per task — there's no single screen that combines the history of every task into one view. If you want to review history, you'll need to open it one task at a time.

Good to know

  • Task history only gets recorded if the feature is switched on. If it's turned off (or set to keep zero days of history), no history will be captured, and the view will show nothing.

  • If a task shows no history, it usually means either nothing has changed yet or history recording is disabled.
