Error: 'Failed to update script negative values or 0 found in dbo.orc_Orders.Quantity'

What to do if you see a negative values or zero quantity error when upgrading Orchestrate.

You may see the following error when attempting to upgrade Orchestrate:

Failed to apply update script 7189-7190 as there was a problem.  Please see error message:  Negative values and/or 0 found in dbo.orc_Orders.Quantity. They must be removed before this update can take place  Negative values and/or 0 found in dbo.orc_Tasks.QtyRequired. They must be removed before this update can take place  Negative values and/or 0 found in dbo.orc_Tasks.RateValue. They must be removed before this update can take place

What to do next

This error occurs because some works orders on the plan have quantities of zero or negative values. These must be removed before the upgrade can take place.
