Error: 'PART DESCRIPTION has a quantity less than or equal to 0'

What to do if a data import fails with a 'quantity less than or equal to 0' error in Orchestrate Data Flow.

Written by Arthur Ashdown

You may be unable to complete a data import due to the following error:

⚠️Error: Orchestrate Data Flow Import has failed. The detailed information is as follows:

PART DESCRIPTION has a quantity less than or equal to 0

The part number referenced in the error message is associated with a works order.

Resolution

There are two ways to resolve this issue in FactoryMaster:

Option 1: Zero all stock on the works order

Zero all the stock on the works order in question from FactoryMaster — for example, if it contains stock that was accidentally scrapped with the wrong reject, book it back in to make the works order historic. The data import will then complete.

Option 2: Place the works order on hold

Using FactoryMaster, locate the offending works order and place it on hold:

  1. From the part description, find the part number using the stocked parts menu.

  2. Find the offending works order using works order enquiry and search by part number.

  3. Place the works order on hold.
