Change the release date from the works order header form but the earliest start date from edit tasks does not change.
The Earliest Start Date set against a task is not changing, when the Order Release date is amended.
The Start No Earlier Than date from edit tasks, is inherited from the Order Release Date.
The Start No Earlier Than date will never fall behind the black vertical line (plan status date and time from plan properties). Even if Order Release Date falls back further. Check the process within process details. The op step should have the Earliest Start Date column filled in with the Order Release Date.
If you increase the order release date, the task auto moves to this date. If you decrease the order release date, you have to use close gaps to move the task to that date. If you decrease the order release date to lower than the plan status date, close gaps will only move the task back to plan status date and no further back.
If the order was planned and then the process was changed, (meaning prior to the amendment, the Earliest Start Date set against a process step was Empty/ Null) then the task will reciprocate this setting set to null.
