Written by Charnjit Singh Dharival
  • Why do jobs on sfdc show with the button Down and how do i clear them?

  • The SFDC operations are stuck with Down status and I cannot start the jobs anymore.

The machine the SFDC operation is referring to, will have a downtime entry against them and that would be found in the downtime booking filter you see on the left named downtime.

Your SFDC account needs adding to the supervisor role to view the SFDC system settings:-

  1. Log into Orchestrate

  2. Select Tools, SFDC users, SFDC staff

  3. Select relevant user and clicked Edit

  4. tick Supervisor

  5. Click Apply and OK

Then, you can enable editing of Downtime:

  1. Log into Workspace

  2. Launch SFDC from the app

  3. Select Settings

  4. System Settings

  5. Enable Editing On and tick Downtime, Production and Booking Information

Afterwards, go back to the SFDC main screen:

  1. Select notifications

  2. Find the SFDC operation in question

  3. Click the 3 dot menu and select Open Downtime Booking

  4. Enter a To Date (or click Now) and click save

  5. The job can now be started and resource is now available again
