Error: 'Software Expired'

Cannot connect to Orchestrate due to the following error message:-

The following problem was reported when attempting to connect to database 'DBNAME' on server 'SERVERNAME'.

Orchestrate has found some problem with your licence. The detailed information is as follows:

Software expired.


Solution 1

Please complete the following steps:

  1. Request new Orchestrate renewal licence, following the network licence section of the solution of that article.

  2. Then, apply the licence.

    If this does not resolve the issue, the LMX licence software and file are on another server to where the Orchestrate application is installed and they cannot communicate to each other, due to the firewall. Please ask your IT to add an inbound rule to the Windows Firewall to release TCP port 6200.

    Also, check the Use Network Licence field contains the correct server name when you launch Orchestrate:

  1. Select Help

  2. Licence Manager

  3. Enter the correct server name from Use Network Licence field

  4. Click OK
