You may see this error when clicking Add to plan on a works order. This is typically caused by a resource within the associated resource group not having shift patterns assigned to it, which prevents the scheduler from allocating capacity correctly.
The fix is to remove the affected resource from the resource group temporarily. The remaining resources in the group will continue to work as expected, and you can add the resource back once it returns to production.
đNote: You can also set a resource as Obsolete from the Resource record, but this is more suitable when a resource needs to be removed from the plan permanently.
Remove the resource from the resource group
To resolve the error, identify the resource without shift patterns and remove it from the resource group. Follow the steps below.
Identify which resource in the group does not have shift patterns assigned. You can check this from the Resource record.
Open the resource group linked to the works order process.
Remove the affected resource from the resource group.
Once removed, try clicking Add to plan again. The remaining resources in the group should now accept the work.
When the resource returns to production and has shift patterns assigned, add it back to the resource group.
