Solution 1: Upgrade Orchestrate

If this error generates whilst trying to launch the hyperlink in the edit task notes, the functionality has been enhanced in Orchestrate version 7.77 hotfix 10. Please upgrade to this version or above.

Solution 2: Restart Orchestrate and check Units Available

Restarting Orchestrate may resolve the error. If it continues to occur, check the Units Available figure on the affected resource against its default shift pattern assignment.

  1. Select the Resources menu.

  2. Select Labour and enter the relevant resource name, then click Search.

  3. Click Edit and note the figure shown in the Units Available column.

If the Units Available figure appears incorrect, continue to Solution 3.

Solution 3: Correct the Units Available value

The maximum Units Available for a Labour resource cannot be lower than the quantity adjustment figures set in Default Shift Pattern Assignment or Daily Adjustment. For example, if Labour resources A and B have a max units value of 16, no quantity adjustment figure can exceed 16.

  1. Select the Resources menu.

  2. Select Default shift pattern assignment or Daily adjustment.

  3. Select the Qty Outstanding tab.

  4. Locate the relevant resource and shift. Check the figures entered for each day.

  5. If any quantity adjustment figures exceed the max units value, either:

    • Increase the Max Units value on the resource to accommodate the higher quantities.

    • Lower the quantity adjustment figures to match or fall below the Max Units value.

🤓Tip: In the example above, if quantity adjustments of 20 and 28 are being entered but the max units value is 16, you would need to either raise the max units to 28 or reduce the adjustment figures to 16 or below.

Solution 4: Delete old saved plan copies

If the issue persists, delete any old saved plan copies from Plan Explorer that are no longer required.
