Set the Key Task attribute default to enabled when creating tasks manually or adding process steps, and to copy this attribute value when duplicating tasks.
The change request has been implemented into Orchestrate version 7.83. The setting is turned on via the following steps:
Select Tools
Options
Planning tab
Select Checked from Key Tasks
Summary of all behaviours:
Creating a new task via Gantt Chart right-click; applies default Key Task value
Expanding process steps onto a plan; applies default Key Task value (only if current value is 0)
Creating a new process step in Edit Processes; applies default Key Task value via DataColumn default
Duplicating a task; copies Key Task value from original (no change, handled by existing Clone())
