How do I configure Backwards Scheduling Planning Resolution?

Backwards Scheduling Planning Resolution can be configured with a Unit of Time, which is then factored in when planning tasks.

For example, if Backward Scheduling Planning Resolution is set to 1 hour this will then schedule new tasks to begin on the start of the next hour:

  • E.g 8:50 to 9:00 or 2:40 to 3:00.

Backwards scheduling Planning resolution is set to 1 minute

If Backwards Scheduling Planning Resolution is set to 1 minute then this will allow the use of all available time. To do so, please follow the steps by below:

  1. This can be done by navigating to Tools.

  2. Then selecting Options.

  3. Open the Planning tab.

  4. Specify both a time and a Unit of Time (’Minutes’, ’Hours’, ’Days’, ’Weeks’)

  5. Save any changes made.
