I cannot log into SFDC due to the following error message:-
Wdb version does not match the SFDC version (1.2.0.5). Please apply the correct wdb file to the database.
Wdb version does not match the SFDC version (1.4.0.0). Please apply the correct wdb file to the database.
The Access_DBObjects_SFDC.wdb file needs installing from the database. If you have an on-premise server, your IT will have to complete the following steps:
Launch the Product Downloads web page
Click WDB files under Orchestrate
Copy the file to the SQL server desktop
Type AWA from Windows search bar
Right-click AWA.DB tool and select Run As Administrator
Select the relevant server and type the database name
Click Test Connection
Map the WDB file from the magnifying glass
Click Update
The error may still generate for some users after the upgrade. The error is showing as the old WDB version (e.g. 1.7.0) so this means they are viewing the old cached web page of SFDC, separate from the WDB update and requires the relevant user to action an Empty Cache and Hard Reload (though logging in and out accomplishes the same thing). Unfortunately, this isn't actioned automatically.
Press F12 in the web browser so it brings up dev tools
Right click on Refresh symbol
Select Empty Cache and Hard Reload
Restart the web browser, log into workspace and click the SFDC app
Note: If your shop floor (production) PC's are locked down to view Workspace and SFDC only, the above steps cannot be applied. Press SHIFT & F5 clears the web cache and refreshes the webpage.
If you are in our MyDesk hosted environment, SFDC is upgraded automatically. If you are on our legacy hosted servers, we upgrade SFDC for you manually. Please raise a new case online referencing the title of this article and a member of our support team will be able to help you further.
Note: The Products Downloads page may not contain the latest WDB file. We can provide the wdb file for you.
