Error: 'No tasks available for the current view with the selected filters' when loading an SFDC view

Written by Charnjit Singh Dharival
  • Upgraded Orchestrate and now SFDC (Shop Floor Data Capture) only displays manual tasks and not works orders created by processes.

  • Lost visibility of any SFDC operations from particular views. The message displayed is:

No tasks available for the current view with the selected filters

Solution

The root cause of this issue is the SFDC system setting 'Filter by released order status' and 'Filter by Key Task attribute' being turned on. From Orchestrate version 7.72 onwards, only tasks of the Released Orders:P OrderStatus = 30

will be published to SFDC if this option is switched on; it is turned on by default. Turning this system setting off and then saving the plan, forcing publish to SFDC, will allow all the SFDC operations to reappear.

To prevent this issue from occurring again, SFDC system setting filter 'Filter by released order status' must be always turned off and the plan must be saved afterwards. Please complete the following steps:

  1. User account with admin/supervisor role must launch the SFDC app from Workspace

  2. Select Settings

  3. Admin Settings

  4. Select Off for Filter by released order status

This means that the only tasks that appear in SFDC are those that have the Key Task attribute ticked and are assigned an order with status Released. None of the tasks for any of the views in SFDC seem to satisfy this criteria, which is why none appear in SFDC.

After ticking the Key Task attribute for these two tasks and changing the status of their orders from Proposed to Released, they appear in SFDC.

You need to ensure that the tasks you want in SFDC, contain the Key Task attribute ticked and the order for those tasks have the status Released. Either meet these conditions or change the filtering criteria.
