Cannot connect to the database

Issues when connecting to an Orchestrate database. When clicking on 'More Options' in the user ID/password screen, the server name can be found but not the database.


It is likely you are a new starter, trying to log into the application. Your Windows account needs adding to the list of users on the Orchestrate database from SQL server management studio. This is environmental, on premise issue, so please contact your IT department or third party IT to check the database permissions:

  1. Launch SQL server management studio.

  2. Connect to the Orchestrate database instance

  3. Expand Security

  4. Expand Logins

  5. Right-Click and select New Login

  6. Enter username with domain e.g. DOMAIN\JohnDoe

  7. select User Mapping and tick Map for the Orchestrate databases

  8. Click OK
