When dragging a task with dependencies, you may find it jumps further ahead in the plan than intended. This can happen when two tasks on the same works order share the same start time dependency — dragging one of them may cause it to land on an incorrect date.
You can resolve this by enabling the Drag Tasks Insert Successors system parameter in Orchestrate System Manager.
Enable Drag Tasks Insert Successors
To correct this behavior, ask your system administrator to enable the following setting.
Log in to Orchestrate System Manager.
Click File, then click System Settings.
Enable the Drag Tasks Insert Successors setting.
Click OK.
📌Note: This setting controls what happens when tasks are dragged to the right. When enabled, successor tasks are inserted into the plan. When disabled, successor tasks are pushed.
