Please check the following dependencies on the following tasks:

Resolution

This functionality has been enhanced in Orchestrate version 7.70. Please upgrade to this version or above.

Workaround: locking tasks

If you are not in a position to upgrade yet, you can work around this issue by applying a 0.001 max offset on the Start-to-Start Min 0 Max 0 dependency between the tasks, so that the min and max are not both exactly zero.

To do this, log into Orchestrate and open the plan, then complete the following steps:

  1. Select Orders, then select Works Orders.

  2. Type the relevant order number and click Search.

  3. Click Find On Plan.

  4. Select the Op Step column heading to order by op step.

  5. Select the relevant op step and resource row.

  6. Tick Locate Task On Plan.

  7. Right-click the relevant task and select Edit Task Dependencies.

  8. Select the successor tab and enter 0.001 in the Target Min Offset (Hours) field.

  9. Click Add.

Workaround: planning works orders

When this error occurs while planning works orders, check the maximum offset. The total work duration of linked op step dependencies cannot be longer than the offset time.

For example, if op step 10 has a duration of 9 hours and op step 20 has a work duration of 6 hours, the total is 15 hours. If the maximum offset is set to 12 hours, the total work duration exceeds it and the error will occur. In this case, increase the maximum offset to 24 hours (matching the other existing op steps) so that the works order can be planned successfully.
