7.77 Release Notes

Written by Charnjit Singh Dharival

We are pleased to announce the release of Access Orchestrate version 7.77 which includes the following features.

Features and enhancements

Add new Downtime Types and Reasons to SFDC

You can now add new Downtime Types and Reasons to SFDC through Orchestrate:

  • In the dropdown menu in the Customs Lists window, two new values have been added: SFDC Resource Downtime Reasons and SFDC Resource Downtime Types:

  • Adding new Downtime Types and Reasons to these menus and saving the plan will add them to SFDC:

Open the error list automatically

You can now make the error list open automatically for certain views:

  • To do this, select the view you want the Error List to open automatically for, open the Error List and save the view

  • If a user no longer wants that Error List to open when the view is selected, close the Error List and save the view again

Update multiple attribute values for multiple tasks

You can now update multiple attribute values for multiple tasks, even if the attribute values of those tasks differ:

  • For example, if there are two tasks on the plan with the following attribute values:

  • If a user selects both tasks, since each task has a different value for each attribute, the user will be informed of this:

  • If the user then changes the value for both attributes, while both tasks are selected, the changes will be applied to both tasks:

Interact with features while the Processes window is open

You can now interact with the Gantt Chart, left-hand panel and other menus while the Processes window is open:

The search functionality in forms has been enhanced to find words that are in multiple columns for the same record:

  • Previously, the search functionality would match your search criteria to one column only and it worked in the following way:

    • Searching for TextA TextB finds records containing columns with TextA and TextB.

    • Searching for "TextA TextB" finds records containing columns with TextA TextB only.

    • Searching for “TextA TextB” TextC finds records containing columns with TextA TextB and TextC.

  • The new search functionality means that if a user was to search for:

    • TextA TextB, then TextA and TextB do not need to be in the same column for the same record, TextA could be in one column and TextB could be in another column.

    • “TextA TextB” TextC, then TextA TextB and TextC do not need to be in the same column for the same record, TextA TextB could be in one column and TextC could be in another column.

  • The Gantt Chart can now be scrolled horizontally by holding down the shift key and using the mouse wheel.

  • The OpCode column is now visible prior to clicking Edit in the Item Production Rates window:

  • Previously on the bottom left of Orchestrate, errors, warnings and notifications were displayed together, but have now been separated to help distinguish between them and make them clearer:

  • To avoid errors occurring when users save the plan simultaneously, run an import during a save or save during an import, saves and imports are now queued:

    • For example, if a user, UserA, saves the plan and another user, UserB, saves the plan, while UserA’s save is in progress, UserB’s save will be queued to occur after UserA’s save is finished and UserB will see the following:

  • Once UserA’s save has completed, the save for UserB will begin.

  • The same queuing mechanism occurs if an import is triggered during a save or a save is triggered during an import.
