We are pleased to announce the release of Access Orchestrate version 7.81

The following features are included in this release.

Features and Enhancements

  • Drag Connected Tasks Together on Gantt Chart: The Gantt chart now automatically selects and moves connected tasks together when they have fixed timing relationships. When you drag a task that has dependencies with matching minimum and maximum time offsets, all related tasks will move as a group, maintaining their timing relationships. This feature is disabled by default and can be enabled by administrators through a system parameter. Once enabled, individual users can toggle the feature on/off using a new toolbar button in the Planning toolbar.

  • Improved Planning Logic for Resource Capacity: Improved the planning logic to prevent the error message "required plot capacity cannot be obtained" from appearing when adding orders to the plan. The system now performs a preliminary capacity check on each resource before attempting to schedule tasks, allowing it to gracefully skip resources that lack sufficient capacity.

  • BOM Merge Performance Enhancement: Optimized Bill of Materials merge process using ID-based lookups for significantly improved performance.

  • Planning Performance Optimization - Skip Shuffling: Performance improvement for planning operations. When adding orders to a plan, the system now more accurately determines when a full schedule recalculation is needed, reducing unnecessary processing time in certain scenarios.

  • Enhanced Telemetry Logging: Added performance metric tracking for Task Planner load times and Order Planner operations.

  • Work List Print Improvements: Fixed multiple print preview issues including blank pages, column width handling, and table header repetition.

  • Late Tasks Filter and Colour By Option: A new "Colour By" option has been added to show Late Tasks with visual distinction - late tasks appear in Red while on-time tasks appear in Green. Additionally, a new filter option "Is Late" is now available in the Task Planner to help users quickly identify and filter tasks that have exceeded their deadline dates.

  • UI Improvement: Ensure the Gantt Chart always displays (instead of showing the blue screen)

  • Stability fixes and improvements
